The Throwback

About

The video store is a nostalgic haven, but can nostalgia survive the streaming era? The Throwback follows Melanie Mcinerney, the resilient owner of Network Video, a local staple for over 30 years. Armed with fierce community support and sheer grit, Melanie fights to keep her independent business alive as the DVD rental market faces extinction. As she reaches a critical turning point, the documentary asks: what is the true cost to a community when its small businesses close down?
