Rico, a young man raised in Melbourne, and Santun, the pious daughter of a respected Islamic boarding school leader (Kiai Umar), fall deeply in love despite coming from different worlds. Through Santun, Rico learns to appreciate religious values, and they both view their relationship as a form of worship.
